George Odhiambo
Project Manager & Administration
George lives in Kibera with his wife and their two kids and his two younger sisters. George has worked for New Adventure school since it’s inception 7 years ago. It has been a joy to watch George pour himself into these kids and teachers. Being a former street boy for several years he knows better than most their plight and their future without the assistance of education. He longs to see them succeed and to become thriving and influential Christian leaders in their community and across the nation. “I have chosen New Adventure because God gave me a burden of working with children who are at risk so that I can be a good example to them and encourage them and give them hope for the future using the word of God.” “Jesus Christ is my personal savior because he sustains my life. He also delivered me from the bondage of sins and sanctified me to be called his child.” |
“New Adventure is a community based school, identified by people living in Kibera slums who say the plight of children at risk within the community is great. These children could not attend school and afford the basic human needs due to either poverty or the demise of their beloved parents. We are special because we have the presence of God taking care of the children who are at risk in our school and we love the Lord.”
“Education is important to the pupils because through it their future is brightened. It prepares them mentally, physically and spiritually for life and will hopefully lend to future stability in their lives. Molding children with the word of God is my favorite part of being at New Adventure because I know that children are after God’s heart, and we want them to be God fearing children in the community and to know Him better.”
